New In (April)

It's the end of the month and it's time for me to do a line under my purchases and see what did a bought during April. The final result actually isn't that bad, although I did exagerate a bit with few product. But guess what? As a nail polish addict I didn't bought any new nail polish last month. I'm crazily proud on myself, haha. :D

Let's start with most exciting products this month. The revolution is happening in beauty world and Slovenian bloggers got a chance to try few Makeup Revolution products as well. Ličila.si send me palette Acid Brights, lipsticks Bliss and Love a Hug and curl mascara. I'm already testing these products, so swatches will be posted soon (I'll probably start with palette). Then I had to order few more products and I got lip lacquers in shades Keep Flying for You and Keep Crying for You. I already tried these and I have to admit I'm not as impressed and I thought I will be. But more when I'l post a review (probably next week, I'll try to swatch everything during holidays). I also ordered blush O'Boy, which I haven't try yet and a palette Hot Smoked, which I also haven't try yet, but shades look amazing.

Then we have another crazy category - shower products. Why I say crazy? Because I bought five of them this month. Yes, five. And all are from Balea. But I can't help myself, I adore their shower products because they smell amazing. Beside three shower gels (hello, summer scents) and one peeling and also got a shower milk. This is actually a copy of Nivea In-shower body milk which I didn't want to try, because I was very sceptical about it, but this is Balea. I have to try something new from Balea even if I'm very sceptical about it (but as much as I read on other blogs, this product got many positive reviews).

I also got few hair products. All are repurchases, because these three are my favourite products. Balea Vitamin shampoo, Schwarzkopf Gliss hair repair spray and Dove conditioner. I actually bought it, because I want to wite a post comparing conditioners, since you were very interested to see a review of both conditioners I got last month

And for the end few random stuff: Balea Raiser Gel mit Aloe Vera, Mixa Cleansing Milk for dry skin, Balea eye cream and Balea Aqua serum. I'm thinking about writing a review about Mixa cleansing milk in the future, let me know if you're interested.

Have you try any of these products? What did you get this month? Thank you for reading!

Empty #8

I promised this post almost a month ago, but I always hesitated when I wanted to write it and I dont know why. I opened this post many times, write few words and then just close it again. But because I know you like empties post, I decided to sit down today and finally finish it. And here it is. :P
In previous post with products I finished I showed you mostly skin and hair products, so this time I have face and nails/hands products for you. I also included few makeup items in this post, but not all. Few weeks ago I organized my makeup collection and I throw away a lot of old products that had strange smell or eyeshadows that were poorly pigmented and similar, but I decided not to photograph everything, it would be just too long post.

Aveo Mandel nail polish remover
I mentioned it many times, it's my favourite nail polish remover. It does contain acetone, but doesn't dry my cuticles as some other removers that don't contain acetone.
Repurchase: Yes.

Essence Nail Art nail polish remover
The only nail polish remover from Essence that I like. It drys my cuticles a bit, but it does a great with removing. And it doesn't stink.
Repurchase: Yes.

Balea Sheabutter Arganöl handlotion
I guess I have to try every scent of Balea's handlotions, haha. This one did a good job, but I didn't like the scent as much as by others.
Repurchase: Yes, but other scents.

Ebelin cosmetic pads
I use these pads mostly while swatching and for cleaning my hands when I do my makeup. I do like them, but not as much as Ombia ones, because these are smaller and not so thick. But Ombia pads are LE, so I'll have to repurchase these again.
Repurchase: Yes.

Balea Aqua Serum
This is definitely one of my favourite face products and I'm repurchasing it constantly. It helps moisturizing my face and it costs only 3 €.
Repurchase: Always.

Paula's Choice Moisture Boost hydrating tretment cream
I actually really liked this face cream. I used it as my day cream. It felt very light, it soak into skin quickly and it made it silky and soft. It was also a great base for makeup. You can read more about it here.
Repurchase: No, because I found a cream that I like better.

Paula's Choice Reist Intensitve Wrinkle-repair Petinol serum
I was totally impressed with this product. I used it only at night, because it was oily, but it didn't make my skin greasy at all. It actually made it pretty soft and silky when it soaked into the skin and in the morning my skin felt very good. I also noticed that it helped me with redness around my nose.
Repurchase: Probably yes.

Catrice Lashes to Kill False Lash Fibres
I did like this mascara, although it didn't gave my lashes such a nice volume as many others. It didn't stick them together, but it did gave me panda eyes. More here.
Repurchase: No.

Essence I Love Extreme Volume mascara
This was actually my favourite mascara until I didn't try the one in pink packaging. There isn't any huge difference in the effect they give to lashes, but I prefer pink one, because black one "falls out" like crazy and in the end of the day I have a huge amount of black dots under my eyes.
Repurchase: No.
L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Diamantissime mascara
The worse mascara I tried. It didn't gave my lashes any volume at all. More here.
Repurchase: Hell no.

L'Oreal False Lash Wings mascara
I bought this one together with Volume Million Lashes masacara and although it has strange(well, different) brush, I got used to it and I did like it. It gave my lashes nice volume, although not as nice as Essence mascara, it didn't stick them together, but I think I won't repurchase it again.
Repurchase: Probably not.

Lush Lemony Flutter
My holy grail product for my cuticles. It's butter so it's thicker, but it moisturize cuticles perfectly. I also noticed that if I have any cuts, it helps them to heal quicker. It really does. Amazing.
Repurchase: Yes, always.

Lip Smacker Coca Cola
It smelled really nice, but it didn't moisturize my lips at all.
Repurchase: No.

Essence Forget it! 3in1 concealer
This was my first concealer and it didn't impress me. Three colored concealer just isn't for me I guess. In the end I only used pink part under my eyes, but I didn't like it because it didn't last long. Review here.
Repurchase: No.

Catrice Ultra Fine Ink eyeliner
This is amazing eyeliner. It's waterproof version and it doesn't smudge, it's amazingly pigmented and it has a thin brush so I can do a thin line with it. I have to throw it away because it became thicker and I couldn't do a nice line with it anymore.
Repurchase: Maybe (at the moment I own too much eyeliners).

Essence Lash&Brow mascara
At the beginning I did like this products, but now not anymore. It's just too wet for my taste.
Repurchase: No.

Essence 4in1 nail file
Another of my favourite products. I just love to use it to fill my nails down to nubbins with it, it makes this job perfectly. It also has a part to close a nail and to smooth it. It's great.
Repurchase: Yes.

Essence Studio Nails Better Than Gel Nails top sealers
As you can see I have all three top coats (regular, fast dry and high gloss). Fast dry didn't really impressed me because it became thicker in the bottle too fast (when I used around one third of product). Between high gloss and regular top coat I didn't notice any difference and because only high gloss is still available, I'm going to repurchase it over and over again.
Repurchase: Yes, high gloss, because it's only one still available.

Essence Nail Art protecting base coat
This was my favourite base coat ever. It made my nails smooth and I never had problems with bubbling when I was using it. Unfortunatelly they change the bottle and I also think they change the formula, because new Nail Art base coat isn't as good as this one.
Repurchase: No, because they change the bottle.

Essence matt top coat
A top coat that made nail polishes matte. It became thick and impossible to apply, so I have to throw it away. I do like matte finish on the nails, but I prefer glossy one.
Repurchase: No.

Eveline 8in1 Toral Action nail conditioner
I used this product as a base coat and it was great, my nails didn't break like crazy and they were quite strong when I was using it, but in the end I didn't like it anymore that much, because my nails started to curve because of it and I didn't like that (let's face it, it doesn't look good).
Repurchase: No.

And a bunch of polishes I throw away because of warious reasons (they were dry or empty because I used them in my DIY ornament project or for nail art etc.)

Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet

Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet nail polish has been mentioned many times on my blog in the past, I used it with many nail art manicures, I also did a comparison between mint nail polishes, but I never showed it on my nails alone as a full manicure. I have no idea, why that never happened before, because this is one of my favourite polishes and definitely my favourite mint nail polish.

I got this nail polish as a gift from a friend. She bought it when she was in Kanada and she totally surprised me with it. I felt in love with it immediately I first applied it on my nails. Because this is a pastel mint shade, its formula is tricky, but it has perfect flat brush that makes application easier and if one is very careful, this polish can be applied it only two coats. I think I already used one third of it and I will definitely repurchase it when I'll finish it or it'll get dry, because it's simply amazing. Unfortunately Sally Hansen isn't available in Slovenia (at least Xtreme Wear collection isn't), but I wouldn't mind if someone would start selling it in our country. :)

What do you think of this polish? Do you like mint shades or you're not a fan? Thank you for reading!

Review and Swatches: Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Pink Pong Lipstick

A lot has been written about Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks, but I decided to add my review in a bunch of all others as well, because I've never been so impressed by a matte lipstick before. At the moment this is my favourite lipstick and I have my eye on two other shades from this collection as well. For the beginning I decided to try one shade and I choose Pink Pong.

The packaging of this lipstick is similar to the one that lipglosses have. You open a lid and it has a spongy applicator. The packaging itself is in the color of lipstick, it's square and although it's plastic it seems sturdy. The applicator it's just perfect and easy to work with.

Pigmentation is not on the strongest site. This is actually pretty sheer lipstick. On lips it needs at least two coats to be opaque. On the swatch below you can see how it looks applied in one coat (right) and in two coats (left). I took this photo right after application, that why the lipstick looks glossy.
Ping Pong is nice pinkish shade and because it's bright one must be a bit more careful with application. And because it's sheerer it takes a bit more time to built it evenly, but final result is totally worth the time because it looks amazing.

Right after applications it looks glossy on lips, but after around 10 to 15 minutes it drys matte. What actually really surprised me is that despite matte finish it doesn't feel like it drys my lips when I wear it. Well, matte lisptick are not moisturizing at all, but this one doesn't dry lips at all. I actually get drying feeling after around 2-3 hours, when the color starts fading away and it starts leaving a stain. It stains  evenly and on me it lasts around 4 hours. A lot of bloggers said that it survives eating but I can't confirm that. This lipstick unfortunatelly didn't survive eating at work. It left a stain around my lips, but in inner part it totally dissapeared. I usually reapplied it after lunch to make it look nice again. When it drys matte it will transfer on a glass if you'll drink, but minimal. On the lips it'll actually still look untouched.

This is how it looks on me freshly applied. The shiny version of this lipstick isn't bad, but I prefer matte one. :)

And this is how it looks on me when it drys matte. My lips weren't in the best condition when I bought it, but despite that it looked great when it dried matte. It will emphasize dry parts a bit, but from far that won't be noticeable at all. It has creamy formula and it feels very light on lips, almost like I wouldn't wear anthing.

Matte lisptick that doesn't feel drying on lips? Yes, please. You get 6,7 ml for around 14 € and yes, it's a bit pricey, but I think it's totally worth the money. I bought mine in DM some time ago with 30 % discount coupon, but it's also available in Müller (and probably in Tuš drugstore if they have Bourjouis stand).

Have you tried Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks? What do you think of them? Thank you for reading!

FOTD and NOTD: Golden-green

Yesterday was a holiday day and I finally had some time to be more creative for blog. I decided to do a combined nail art and eye makeup. First I did nails. Lately I'm seeing a lot of lace manicures all around social media, so I decided to do one as well. I wasn't sure about color combination until I didn't saw Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet on my desk and I decided to use green shades. Instead of white or black lace I did a golden lace. Beside Sally Hansen polish I also used Lacura Amazon, Stargazer 237 and Essence Steel-ing the Scene.

Then I collected a whole bunch of eyeshadows to create matching makeup. Until I was done it started to rain and although I took many photos, only few of them succeeded. I had to adjust light on photos to make them brigter. I actually really like this golden-brownish-green combination on my eyes.

In crease I mixed different golden and brown shades, all over the lid I used Catrice green shimmery eyeshadow, under my eyes I used Catrice mint pigment and in inner corner golden eyeshadow from Yves Rocher duo eyeshadow palette Sand and Amber. As highlighter on my browbone I used shimmery eyeshadow in vanilla shade from Sleek Storm palette. Instead of only black eyeliner I also added a line of a mint eyeliner, because it's more noticeable as only mint eyeshadow.

Products I used:
*Face
- Yves Rocher perfect primer
- Yves Rocher Youthful Glow Foundation 100 Beige
- Bourjois Healthy Mix serum 01 Light Vanilla
- Catrice Camouflage cream Ivory
- Essence Stay All Day longlasting concealer 10 Natural Beige

- Sleek Face Form Fair (contour powder, highlighter and blush Rose Gold)

*Eyes

- Catrice kajal pencil
- Yves Rocher Sexy Pulp ultra-volume mascara

Easter Manicure

Since Monday I had in mind to do a rabbit nails since it's Easter this weekend and yesterday I finally had enough time to create Easter inspired nail art. My rabbit probably isn't the most cute one in nail art world, but I still like it a lot and I'm glad I choose pastel colors for other nails, because they look amazing together with white.

Nail polishes I used as bases are from thumb to pinkie Flormar 423, Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet, Essie Blanc, Essence Makes Me Weak and Essence Forget Me Not. Everything else is tempera painting.

I wish you all Happy Easter. I hope it'll be better than mine (I'm laying in bed with a cold).

NOTD: Neon Skittle

I won't be very long today, but I wanted to share my latest manicure with you. If you follow me on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, you already saw it before. The other day I saw a photo of very gorgeous manicure that had combined neon and sand polishes and it inspired me to do my manicure. I actually don't remember anymore on which social media I saw it, but neon shades caught my eye immediatelly. Lately I'm wearing mostly neon polishes and it's not even Summer yet. I know some of you are probably bored with my neon obsession, but guess what? You'll be seeing much more neon manicres in the future on my blog, haha.

I combined yellow neon pastel CH Nail Lacquer 15 nail polish with Golden Rose Holiday 55, a blue sand nail polish, and Color Club Youthquake, which is a coral neon shade. I'm definitely loving this combo, sand and neon polishes look amazing together. I have to try few other combinations in the future as well.

What do you think? Do you like combination of neon and sand polishes or are you not fan of either of them? Thank you for reading!
