Yesterday I showed you my two suggestions for Valentine's day makeup looks and today I'm going to share with you V-day manicure. With this one I also decided to cooperate in Živa's Valentine project. The manicure was inspired by one photo from Pinterest.
My manicure totally reminded me on our holiday "Gregorjevo" (we celebrate in it March) and that's the day when birds are marrying ("ptički se ženijo" as we say in Slovene). It's similar holiday to Valentine's day. I made 2 birds on a branch, looking to each other and on others I made hearts instead of leaves. I am very satisfied with this nail art. As a base I used OPI Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh and everything else are tempera paintings.
EDIT: I was asked to do a tutorial, so here it is. I'm using a thin brush from one of old Essence Nail Art polishes, because with it it's very easy to do all details. And for bird I used tempera painting.
Step 1: Apply your base color.
Step 2: Use a brown tempera painting or polish and draw a line for a branch. It doesn't need to be perfect, because branches aren't perfectly straight either.
Step 3: Use a blue or any other color of tempera painting or polish and draw a skeleton of a bird. Don't worry if it's not perfect, you can always fix it later.
Step 4: Fill the skeleton.
Step 5: Use a lighter blue or any other shade and draw a wing.
Step 6: Use 3 different sizes of dotting tool for eyes. First apply black big dot. Then apply smaller white dot in it and in the end the smallest black dot.
Step 7: Do 2 thin lines for feet.
Step 8: Use a yellow shade and do a beak.
Step 9: Wait for few minutes for manicure to dry and in the end apply a top coat.
