My top 10: Favourite Summer Lip Products

Hi, everyone! As you can see, I'm starting with new series on my blog, where I'll write about my favourite products and other stuff. I'm starting with my top 10 lip products for summer. I was planning for a while to do this kind of post and now it's finally written. I named it favourite lip products and not lipsticks, because I disn't mention only lipsticks, but also lipliner, lip cream and lip tint.

As you can see, in my favourites are mostly pink coloured lip products (fuchsia, berry). I only have 3 products, that are in other shades, a red Essence, a coral Catrice and a peachy Maybelline lipstick. Summer is to me all about colors and I love to wear bright, pink shades. Altgough I'm a fan of red lip products, red is to me more fall and wintery shade.

This is definitely one of my most worn lipsticks. The color it's just amazing and it's pretty mousturizing, so I don't need to apply a lip balm underneath. I love it, because I can wear it with me and I can re-apply it even, if I don't have a mirror with me.

A nice peachy shade. I wear it, when I'm not in the mood for colors or I wear only mascara because of the heat. Then this lipsticks is very handy, because it looks very soft on me and it's also mousturizing.

Maybelline Vivid Rose
What can I say, I adore this color. The pigmentation of this lipstick is amazing. The application is a bit tricky like with all very good pigmented lipsticks, but when you put it on, it stays there for few hours. It also doesn't feel dry on my lips, which is very important to me. Review will come soon, I hope (photos are already edited).

A gorgeous coral matt shade, which I think it looks great on me.

Isadora Pink Darling
When I first saw the color of this lipsticks, I though I'm going to hate it, because it's very light pink shade, but then I applied it on my lips and I was actually surprised, how good it looked on me. Then I started to reach often after it and soon it became one of my favourites. It's matt, but it doesn't feel dry on my lips and it also lasts quite long. In August you can expect longer review about it.

I had to include one red lipstick in my top 10. I actually love to wear this one, because I think it's a perfect red shade for my skin tone. I feel sexy and confident with it. Well, the lasting power isn't the best, but we can survive that.

Till now you all probably tried Essence Stay Matt lip creams and you know, how amazing they are. This one is the prettiest from regular assortiment, if you ask me. It's pigmented, lasts long and it's perfect shade for summer.

This lip cream isn't as good as those from regular assortiment, because it's less pigmented and less longlasting (and also limited), but the color is perfect pink.

Look by Bipa Bonbon
Look by Bipa lipliners unfortunatelly aren't available in Slovenia, but if you'll ever be in Austria or Croatia, I recommend you to try these. They're super cheap, but have great formula, are easy to apply, last long on lips and have nice selection of colors (although they could have more). I have 3 and Bonbon is my favourite. I use it alone, because it's very wearable and I love its color.

Essence Sugar Baby Love
This is a lip tint and it drys lips, but I never wear it alone, I always apply it over Bonbon lipliner, so that it lasts longer on my lips. These are perfect combination together.

You can click on a name of lipsticks, if you want to see swatches on my lips. Some I haven't reviewed yet (but I will in the future). Swatches of those you'll find in video, I made.

What are your favourite lip products for summer? Thank you for reading!

How to: Prevent Bubbling

Hi, girls! Today I wanted to talk about a topic, with which many nail polish addicts face now in summer (and sometimes also in other seasons) - bubbling. When I was writing a post about She collection Glitters&Neons, I had huge problems with bubbles (because of formula) and I thought, why not to write a post about this problem. Maybe some of you will find this post totally unnecessary, because you're aready familiar with facts, how to prevent bubbling, but I believe, that this post will help some of my readers. Especially, because I have some friends, who totally ignore these facts and do everything opposite (e.g. shaking polish). These pieces of advice, I'm going to write in this post, are from my personal experience with bubbling.

There can be a lot of reasons for bubbling: the heat (so try to paint your nails in the morning or evening, when it's not so hot), wetness, thick formula of polish, thick coats, oils, and dirtiness on your nails ...

  • Do not shake the bottle of your polish.
If you'll shake a bottle before applying polish is possible that the polish will make bubbles. I have one friend that shakes every bottle, that she takes into her hands. That really frustrates me. Yes, some polishes do have a metal bead into them, but they have it so that they wouldn't get thick very fast. It's better if you roll a bottle between your hands. On the lower photo, you can see what happens if you shake a bottle (I used the top coat because it's transparent and it's a better example than coloured nail polish).

  • Don't use thick coats.
I'm one of those people who prefer using thick coats because I rather use 2 thicker coats than 3 thin. Well, that isn't the best idea, especially now in summer because the heat influences on polish and it can bubble faster. If polish has a too thick formula, try to use thinner to make it more liquidy (Misslyn has a thinner in a white plastic packaging).
  • Don't use too thick coat of a top coat.
Another thing, I like to do. Especially, when the top coat it's going to its end and becomes thicker. Then I like to use thicker coats (especially over nail art because I don't want to smudge it) because it's hard to apply thin coats, and that can cause bubbling. The solution here is also a thinner. I tested it with fast drying top coat and it doesn't influence on drying time, so feel free to use it. Or buy a new top coat (which I always do, I never finish top coat till the last drop). :)
  • Wait for few minutes between coats for them to dry.
I think most of us do that when polishing nails, but I can be impatient sometimes and I don't wait long enough before applying the second coat. If first coat isn't dry enough that can also cause bubbles. This advice is connected with first advice. Don't use too thick coats. If you'll use thin coats they'll dry faster. And if you're using a fast drying top coat, your manicure will dry fast in the end.

  • Wash your hands before applying a base coat.
Some of you will ask why because I know some bloggers use a hand cream, wait that it sinks into the skin and then they use a base coat. Well, I tried that and it didn't work for me because that always caused bubbles. Now I use my hand cream and also an oil on my cuticles, wait that they sink into the skin and then I go and wash my hands. That way I remove oils and dirt from them. Then I use a base coat.
  • Find a base coat that will work for you.
You're probably thinking here what the hell is she saying. Well, every base coat doesn't work the same for every person. Last year I was using Essence 24/7 base coat, which was very praised in the blogosphere, but I had huge problems with it. It caused me bubbles with almost every manicure, so I never bought it again. The same goes with top coat. Maybe your top coat and base coat don't go along, so try to find a combination that will work for you,
  • Wait for your base coat to completely dry, before using a nail polish.
Usually, base coats dry fast, but again I'm saying from my personal experience that sometimes I didn't wait long enough for a base coat to dry and then my nail polish bubbled. Well, because I'm using fast drying top coat (which I honestly recommend you, if you don't use it yet), I can take few minutes more with a base coat. I usually wait for 15 minutes (then BC is certainly dry) or apply it one day before doing my manicure (if I paint my nails in the morning, I use a base coat in the evening).

An example of polish, that bubbled now in summer - here I used thicker coats of polish.

So, these are my advices what to do if you want to avoid bubbling. They work for me. If I forgot something, please, let me know how do you deal with bubbling. I hope you find this post useful. Thank you for reading!

Monday Palette Review: Sleek I-Divine Ultra Mattes V2 Darks

Hi, girls! In today's Monday Palette Review I have for you Sleek  Ultra Mattes V2 Darks palette. I got it back in December, when it was on sale in online store Zapikonai. I think I payed around 8 € back then, but otherwise in Slovenia you can get them for around 12 €.

The palette is in their usual black packaging. It has 12 eyeshadows and they are all matt. Most of the eyeshadows are dark, except for 3, which are brigth. I think this palette is more suitable for those, who like dark and bold make up looks, although you can make natural or brighter look too, if you use Flesh, Pillow Talk, Dune and maybe Paper Bag in crease. One eyeshadow has 1,1 g. Most of them are pretty soft on touch (I also have Chaos, another Sleek palette with matt eyeshadows, which are more hard on touch). They do dust like crazy, but if you shake the eyeshadow from the brush, there's minimal fall out. They do blend very nicely and last long on my normal lids. Although I have a feeling, they don't get well with my Catrice eyeshadow base, that I'm currently using. I think, that they fade out faster as they were, when I was still using Essence I Love Stage base.

Indigredients: Mica (CI 77019), Talc, Paraffinum Liquidum, Magnesium Stearate, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Dimethicone, Propylparaben, Methylparaben.
It can also contain: Ultramarine (CI 77007), Yellow Iron Oxide (CI 77492),  Iron Oxide (CI 77491/2/9), Red Iron Oxide (CI 77491), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090:2),  Black Iron Oxide (CI 77499, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Managenese Vilet (CI 77742), Red No.40 Lake (CI 16350)

Orbit - is a teal shade with amazing pigmentation.
Ink - is a navy blue shade. This one is a bit less softer than others, but still has great pigmentation. I really love this shade.
Highness - is a gorgeous purple shade. It's less pigmented than Orbit and Ink, but buildable, so you can achieve nice look with it.
Thunder - is a grey shade, very soft, but less pigmented.
Maple - is a reddish brown shade with good pigmentation.
Flesh - is a peachy shade with good pigmentation. This shade is one of my favourites in this palette.

Noir - is a black shade with great pigmentation, but it's chalky, it's not so soft as other eyeshadows. It's not the blackest black eyeshadow, but by now you all probably know, that all Sleek palettes have black matt eyeshadow and that they're the best pigmented black eyeshadows ever (at least from those I tried).
Dune - is a light beige shade. It has very good pigmentation and I use it mostly in inner corner of my eyes.
Pillow Talk - is a white shade. The pigmentation isn't the best, but it's buildable and I use it mostly for hightlighting.
Paper Bag - is a nice brownish shade. It's soft and good pigmented.
Villain - is a plum shade, less softer than others, but very good pigmented.
Fern - is a forest green shade with great pigmentation.

Swatches are made on my bare skin, as usual I haven't used any eyeshadow base underneath. These are really nice eyeshadows, my favourites are Orbit, Ink, Highness, Flesh and Villain. I made a look with this palette here (sorry, but today it was too hot to create look with this palette for this post).

This palette is a part of their permanent line and it's still available for buying. You can get it on Sleek's official site. Slovenian ladies can buy it on Zapikonai, Moja drogerija or Lič As I said before, price is around 12 € in our country. But I think Sleek palettes are totally worth the money, because they're amazing.

What do you think about this palette, are those your colors or not? Thank you for reading!

Random Sunday #37

Hi, girls! I totally feel without energy at the moment. I was editing photos for future posts for last 2 hours, so I'm only in the mood to go to bed. But I decided to write today's Random Sunday anyway, because it'll be short post, I don't have much photos.

One of my go to hairsytles, when I go somehwhere - a braided bun.

China Glaze Hightlight of my Summer. I think this is my new favourite neon polish, it was a love at first sight. More decent swatches will be published, when my nails will be in a better shape (as you can see, nail on my index finger broke :( ).

This week I received a  prize, that I won in a giveaway on Jelena's Wonderful Colors blog (go check her blog now, if you don't follow her already). Jelena packed my prize so nicely, that I didn't want to open it. I had to take photo first. Thank you, Jelena, I love everything! Polishes are China Glaze Atlantis, Zoya Valeria and China Glaze Highlight of my Summer.

The best coffee in the world! I'm not a huge coffee fan, but I could drink a coffee from Petrol every day, it tastes so good. Luckily I don't have it close to my home (I also published this photo, because you can see my manicure, I wore that day :D).

Sorry, I don't have more photos. I'll try to make next Random Sunday post longer. Have a nice week! Thank you for reading!

The Beauty Blogger Tag

Hi, girls! Today I have The Beauty Blogger tag for you. I was tagged by Lendoxia

  • tag the creator of the tag – The Beau Bow
  • tag some more beauty bloggers you want to do the tag
  • title your post “The beauty blogger tag”
  • answer the questions

1. Name the beauty routine you barely do!
I rarely use primer for my foundation. I have one, but I think, that it doesn't help my foundation to last longer and I always forget to use it. The other thing are face masks. I have them few, but I don't use them very often, like once a week. I use one and then I don't use another for next 3 weeks, because I keep forgetting about them.

2. Is washing your make up brushes something you regularly do?
Well, it depends. If I use them every day, I try to wash them once a week, but now in summer, when I use them very rarely, I admit, I don't wash them every week, but every 2 or 3 weeks (sometimes I don't wear makeup for a whole week). Guilty as charched of not washing brushes regular. :/ I know, this is bad, but I have them so many already and sometimes I'm just to lazy to wash them (bad excuse).

3. How long will you last with chipped nail varnish?
Not long, I hate chipped nail polish. Ok, lately I'm not so good with changing my polish. If I wash dishes after lunch and my nail polish chips, I don't go and remove it immediatelly, specially if I know, I'm going to do something else in the afternoon, then I just wait and remove it in the evening.

4. How long do you put off buying/replacing a beauty or nail polish product even if you need it (ie. top coat, foundation, etc.)?
I don't need more polishes, but I keep buying them. Well, that's a nail polish addict. But other products (top coat, base coat, shampoo, makeup remover ...) I buy, when I see I almost finished it. I always want to have a backup prepared, before the product is gone. It happened to me before, that I ran out of a certain product, that I needed and I didn't like that.

5. What is your worst beauty habit?
Not doing my skin care routine regularly. I admit, that now in the summer I'm neglecting it. Because I almost don't wear makeup in the summer (or very rarely), I just wash my face with a water before going to bed or in the morning, when I woke up and that's it. I even neglect using face cream. :( I'm not very proud of that.

6. Name something non-beauty related you put off doing all the time?
I would say my diploma, but now I'm more hardworking and I write it every day, because it's time, that I finish it.

7. When going out somewhere do you leave getting ready to the last minute or not?
I use to did that, but not anymore. If I know, I'll go somewhere, I wash my hair one day before or in the morning, if I'll go somewhere in the evening, and I do my makeup one hour before, so I'm really ready, when it's time to go.

8. Can you commit to spending bans?
I don't commit spending bans, because lately I don't spend that much on cosmetics as I use to did and I can say no to a certain makeup product, if I want. Few months ago I had "polish no buy" month and it went well, I didn't buy any new nail polish for more than a month.

9. How organized is your makeup and nail polish collection?
My nail polish is still not organized as I would want it, because I still store them in a shoe boxes, but I already have a plan, how I want to change storage, I just don't know, when I'll realize those plans. Few weeks I storage makeup, so I have most used product in one place and those, that I don't need, I store in a little storage box from Kik.

10. What is the longest time you have gone without writing a blog post?
Hmm, I don't know, I should check my old posts for that. But I know, that during exams I didn't post a lot. Maybe about 2 weeks.

I decided to tag few Slovenian bloggers, I hope they'll answer the questions:
Thank you for reading!

S-he Glitters&Neons collection

Hi, girls! You can't imagine, how excited I was, when I saw, that S-he released polishes with flakies. I think they're dupes of Models Own Splash collection, because judging by the swatches they look very similar. I read many reviews and people didn't really like Models Own collection because of bad formula and my opinion about S-he collection is not better at all.
I think collection is called Glitters&Neons (at least that was written on a cardboard). There were 4 polishes with flakies and 8 other colors. I took 3 colors with flakies, because I'm not a fan of pink color, and a green neon shade. Although I do like the color of the flakies, they look amazing in the bottle, let me tell you about the formula first, which was a real dissapointment.

These polishes had very thick formula, which was hard to apply and flakies almost didn't stay on nails. I had to dab them on nails, but that was a bad idea, because this caused bubbles. If I applied top coat over it, there were even more bubbles. Then I decided to add a thinner into them. Well, I had to use a lot of thinner, before I was satisfied with formula. After using thinner polishes went smoothly on, but flakies were still hard to apply. If I dabbed them, bubbles still appeared. Instead of that I used tweezers. Well, applying flakies with tweezers isn't that easy either, but it went better than with dabbing and there weren't any bubbles.

First I made swatches on a nail wheel and later also on nails. Upper 2 photos are without top coat and lower with top coat. Top coat smooths the surface and it doesn't effect on flakies, so that they would reflect their duochrome color less or something, but it causes more bubbles (at least, if you dab flakies or if you use thicker coat of a top coat, which I always do with glittery polishes. Maybe I should try with 2 thin coats next time).

I made a swatch of S-he 006 on a nail wheel, before I added a thinner. I was making a video about this collection and I wanted to show the difference between original formula and formula, watered with thinner (you can find video in the end of this post). Thicker formula had coloured base, but it was less visible, after I used thinner. On a nail wheel I used 2 coats of S-he polish with flakies on a bare nail and also 2 coats over a coloured base. Where I dabbed flakies on a nail, the bubbles went crazy (you can see that with blue flakies on a bare nail). Too bad because of the formula, because flakies look amazing.

When I was doing swatches on nails, I already learned, how to apply them. I used one thin coat of a S-he polish over a cream polish and then tweezers to apply flakies randomly on nails. It happened really really rarely, that I manage to apply flakies with a brush on nails.

S-he 006 has flakies, that reflect from green to gold and orange. Unfortunately the green color of flakies isn't that visible on nails. As a base I used Essence BBC Orange Sunset. Swatches are made with top coat.

S-he 007 has silver flakies, that also reflect blue and a bit of green. As a base I used Bourjois In the Navy. Swatches are made with top coat.

S-he 008 has flakies, that reflect a lot of green and a bit of purple and blue. As a base I used Essence Tipi-Ya-Yeah. Swatches are made with top coat. Here I used a bit thicker coat of a top coat and as you can see, bubbles went crazy.

The last polish is S-he 003, a neon green shade. This one also has a dissapointing formula, because it's very sheer. I thought I'll need 3 coats for it, when I was filming a video, but when I was doing swatches on nails, I actually needed 4 coats to make it opaque. On my ring finger I used 2 coats over white polish. Beside that this formula is also watery, so I had to apply thin coats, otherwise I had it all over my cuticles. It drys matte.

And here's a video, I made in Slovene (it was filmed, before I did swatches on nails).

S-he polishes contain 10 ml and cost 2,5 €. The price is not high, but I'm not sure, any of these polishes is worth the money. If you'll use a thinner with flakies, the formula will be much better and polish will be easier to apply, but flakies still won't stay on nails (you'll have to dab them or use tweezers). 003 is very pretty color, but I have neon shades, that are opaque in less coats. My favourite green neon shade Ruby Kisses Tropical Green needs only 2 coats. So, if you're in the mood to play with these flakies and apply them with tweezers, get them, otherwise stay away from them. Flakies are really amazing, but formula not so much.

What do you think about this collection? Have you try any of these polishes? Did they dissapoint you too or you liked them? Thank you for reading!

FOTD and NOTD: Blue Glitter

Hi, everyone! On Sunday I felt a bit creative and I matched my nails and FOTD. Because it's so hot lately, that I have a feeling, that makeup is melting on me, I wear it very rarely. Sunday was one of those days, when I decided to put makeup on. But let's start with nails first. Do you see this beauty?

I was wearing one coat of NYX Girls Under the Moon over 2 coats of Boujois In the Navy. Under the Moon is really an amazing top coat, it has a lot of little silver and holographic round glitter and few big hexagonal glitter. It applys like a butter, glitter is staying on nails, as you do a stroke with a brush, it's luckily not one of those glittery polishes; where you have to dab a glitter on nails, because it's impossible to apply it with a brush.

On this photo I tried to capture, how holographic glitter looks in the bottle, but trust me, it's more visible and it looks more amazing in person.

The makeup look I did, was very simple and natural. I wanted to add a touch of color with blue glittery liner, which would match my nails.

Products I used:
- Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in Vanille
- Essence All About Matt fixing compact powder
- Catrice camouflage cream in Ivory
- Essence Ballerina Backstage blush souffle in Prima Ballerina

- Manhattan Beige Ballerina palette
- Essence Soul Sista glitter liner
- Catrice Eye brow stylist Date With Ash-ton

- Maybelline Color Whispers Coral Ambition

Do you also like to match your makeup and nails sometimes or you never do that? What do you think about NYX Girls Under the Moon top coat? Thank you for reading!

Monday Palette Review: MUA Undressed

Hi, everyone! Today I'm starting with a new series on my blog, called Monday palette review. I was thinking, which palette should I review first and I decided for MUA Undressed, which is one of my favourite palettes. I got it as a prize in a giveaway on Natalie's blog. As you all probably know by now, Undressed is a dupe of Urban Decay's Naked palette. I had Naked palette for a long time on my WL, but now I don't need it anymore, because I'm perfectly satisfied with Undressed palette.

The packaging of a palette is plastic, with transparent upper part, nothing special. It came with a duo sponge applicator, but I threw it in a trash, because I never use it. It has 12 eyeshadows, that are called shade 1, shade 2, shade 3 ...  Pretty boring, right?  Colors are very neutral - browns, golden, grey, beige, black. This palette is perfect for natural day look or for smoky look, when you're going out in the evening. 2 eyeshadows are matt (shades 3 and 5) and others are shimmery. The pigmentaton of these is amazing, I really didn't expect, that they will be so good pigmented, when I first used this palette. Well, only shade 3 has a bad pigmentation, so I never use it. They last very long on my lids (I have normal, not oily lids), they don't crease and are very easy to blend. They're very soft on touch and they do dust, but I have a feeling, that that happens with all shimmery eyeshadows (I know Sleek shadows dust like crazy, but they're still my favourites).

Here's the list of indigredients:
Mica, Talc, Magnesium Stearate, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-1, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Polybutene, Dimethicone, Methylparabene, Propylparaben, CI 77891, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499, CI 77742, CI 77510, CI 42090, CI 77007, CI 15850.

I made swatches on my bare skin without any primer under. Here is visible, that all shades have nice pigmentation, except shade 3. My favourite shade in this palette is probably shade 6, a golden shade. I also love others, but beside golden one I use the most shades 2, 4, 7 and 9. If you want to see the look, I created with this palette, check my old post FOTD with Essence and MUA.

The palette contains 9,6 g and it's available on MUA site for 4 £, Slovenian girls can also buy it on Lič for 7,95 €.

What do you think about Undressed palette, do you like it? Thank you for reading!
